New Mexico HB57 Spay and Neuter Program
San Juan Animal League has recently been selected as a recipient of funding through the New Mexico Low-Income Spay and Neuter Program (HB57). This program provides free spay and neuter surgeries for eligible households.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this program, households must meet state-mandated income guidelines. These guidelines are set by the State of New Mexico, and San Juan Animal League is required to strictly follow them.
As part of the application process, proof of income is required. You must upload one of the following documents:

A copy of your most recent federal income tax return showing your household’s Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)
OR -
A benefit verification letter from the Social Security Administration
⚠️ Applications submitted without proof of income will not be considered.
Maximum Household Income Limits
The following income limits are based on household size:

1 person: $31,300

2 people: $42,300
-
3 people: $53,300
-
4 people: $64,300
-
5 people: $75,300
-
6 people: $86,300
-
7 people: $97,300
-
8 people: $108,300
Additional Services
Optional vaccines may be added at the time of surgery; however, all vaccines must be paid for separately and are not covered under this program. Please use the following link to pay for any vaccines at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
