Spay and Neuter

San Juan Animal League is committed to providing affordable spay/neuter surgeries to the animals of the Four Corners Region.  We work with different veterinary teams to provide affordable spay/neuter surgeries in San Juan County. We are currently working with Angels Among Us in Bloomfield. Our network of volunteers is constantly looking at ways to bring the cost of this surgery even lower.

Due to an increased demand for spay/neuter surgeries, we are currently scheduling 2- 3 months out.  You may register for spay or neuter with us and later find another provider who can get your pet’s surgery done sooner.  We will gladly refund your money but we will charge a $5 refund fee to cover our cost to refund.  Thank you for your understanding.

Please note:

Angels Among Us will not do surgery on animals over 7 years old or over 80 pounds.   If the animal exceeds 80 pounds, there may be an additional charge from the vet. The vet also requires that the pets be up to date on vaccines before surgery OR that you order vaccines  so they can be administered at the surgery appointment.

Pets should have nothing to eat or drink after midnight the evening prior to surgery.

You may also schedule a surgery by emailing sanjuananimalleague@gmail.com or by calling 505-635-1836.

Note: We are able to offer surgeries at this low price because we only perform spay/neuter surgeries. Therefore we do not have all the equipment of a full-service veterinary hospital. For this reason we only perform surgery on healthy animals.  We regret that we are unable to spay or neuter wolves, wolf-hybrids, or coyote-hybrids at this time.  If it is determined that your pet is not a good candidate for surgery,  SJAL will refund your money.

Please show up for your appointment.  If you are a no-show for a scheduled surgery, we will consider your payment a donation to SJAL.  We will not be able to refund money for missed appointments.  Thank you for your cooperation.
