Volunteer Opportunities

We need your help! VolunteerVolunteers are the cornerstone of our success! SJAL is an all volunteer organization working to provide for San Juan County pets

We have volunteer opportunities in the following areas:

Vaccine Clinic help – volunteers are essential in managing the hundreds of animals who come through our vaccine clinics monthly.

TNR-  people are needed to check cats in on the day of surgery, keep an eye on them after surgery, feed and water cats before overnight stay, check the animals out to caregivers the morning following surgery.

Poster distribution – getting the word out about vaccine and spay/neuter clinic’s is vital to our success. Help us by volunteering to distribute some of the hundreds of posters we blanket the area with monthly

Donations and special events – we’re always looking for individuals who have benefited from the League or who love animals and want to help those in need in our area to volunteer with us. There’s an unlimited number of opportunities available from volunteering only once to participating in our weekly spay/neuter clinic’s. If you can’t get out but still want to help, maybe working our 24/7 help line interests you. Remember you can also help by donating food, blankets, towels, toys or in-kind donations to help the animals of San Juan County.

Can’t volunteer but still want to help?  Weare always in need of supplies.

San Juan Animal League Wish List

A few of our ongoing programs (vaccine and spay/neuter clinics) require that we use a number of basic supplies repeatedly. The more of these you can donate, the less we have to spend on them, and thus the more we have available to ensure affordable vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries remain available in San Juan County.

We can always use….

  • Towels
  • Puppy Pads
  • Sheets
  • Duct Tape
  • Cleaning supplies (paper towels, cleaning spray)
  • Plastic table coverings
  • Sticky notes
